Gallipolis' Museum
Moscow, Krestyanskaya sq., 10
Inside the Western Tower of the Novospassky Stauropegial Monastery it is planned to open a museum of Russian emigration with the exhibits of the "Fund of Memory of Participants of the White Movement". The monastery is located in the Tagansky district of Moscow, it is an architectural monument of the early XVII century. In addition to exhibitions, the museum will host lectures and film screenings.
We propose to clean old walls and vaults, to organize a double-light space under the hipped roof, to make a compact spiral staircase made of metal between the floors. For saving the space, exhibition samples will be placed in glass crystal cubes. In addition, it is planned to organize a multimedia hall.
"The appearance of this museum is very important, since it will be dedicated to one of the painful pages of Russian history, little studied and little reflected, that architects should remind about".
